Me teaching yogurt making at the Maker Faire last year |
OK, so I realize this is super late notice but this weekend is the Maker Faire at the San Mateo Event Center.
I’ll be helping out at the East Bay Urban Agriculture Alliance’s booth in Homegrown Village. At 11:30am Esperanza of Pluck and Feather and I will be teaching a workshop on Converting Your Yard to Food. Heidi of Itty Bitty Farm in the City will also be teaching a workshop on urban goats. Then on Sunday Esperanza will be teaching a workshop on keeping urban livestock. You can find the full schedule here.
Wish I could make it across the bay to the event. But we are going to the Giants/A's game on Saturday and Sunday is for the beginning building of the rabbit hutches and overall management of the property. Have a great time!
I still have lots to do in the yard, so I'll be working at home. Have a fun time … ironic banner behind your picture hmmm.
The Maker Faire sounds like a lot of fun.
This morning we dispatched Edwina the Buff from Hell (she's going to be the best pot of coconut curry ever), and worked on the compost pile some. I got the younger pullets to finally accept some greenery treats without them regarding it as suspicious stuff, and I harvested artichokes and chard.
Tomorrow is laundry day, baking day, and 'transplant tomato seedlings into raised beds' day.
Oh, I think I walked behind you for a ways during set-up this morning- I'm one of the vendors in the Bazaar Bizarre tent. I remember a red wagon with an enormous squash in it, and of course, the pot-luck banner. Wish I'd introduced myself. Looooove your blog, and hope to meet you one day when you can have public workshops and potlucks again!
