I was walking around the Farmer’s Market and came across this store with antique garden supplies. I was drawn to these old french cheese molds. They were awesome. They were also $95 each. It got me excited about the thought, though.

I've never made cheese, but recently received a recipe from someone for making my own ricotta. I'd love to try it, or even making my own goat cheese. Maybe a good rainy day project next winter! I'll have to check out the Cheesemonger book.
CVF, I actually have a recipe on this blog for making ricotta (extremely easy – just milk and lemon juice or vinegar) and marscapone.
ahhhh cheese….that and gin and what else does a girl need. Well, fresh eggs for one! 🙂 I am so sorry you are on a strict diet (which my roly poly ass should be!). I fully endorse the know your butcher, baker, cheese man…you name it. Tell the Cheese Man he needs to hop a plane to CHitown! Have a good one, Michaela
I love cheese. There are so many varieties and choices, I certainly have a lot to learn 🙂
