Thanks for the post Stephanie. If you don't mind, I would like to give your readers some more information on this photo.
When we went to Nepal, we landed in the capital, Kathmandu. The city is a crazy, chaotic maze that is heavily populated and has a lot of pollution. After spending a few days in the capital, we escaped and headed to the rural countryside. We hiked many miles, and noticed that a lot of the hills we saw had simple rustic houses dotting the hillside. Most houses had livestock in a wooden makeshift pen, and a terraced farm. It was an incredible sight.
This photo was taken last December, and the farmer was growing mustard and herbs. However, they grow many of the same crops we see throughout California and Mexico (similar latitude).
