I really do need to get a better photo of Coconut. She was dam raised, and while she’s friendly enough, she’s not what I’m used to with bottle kids.
I’ve gone back and forth on keeping Coconut, but one day while I was writing out her sales ad, I realized that she needed to stay. This doe has her dam’s signature wide rump that is level across the thurls, with lots of width between the hocks. She levels out really nicely on the move, is stretchy and angular. Her littermate brother, Dog Island Mangosteen, was here for the 2024 breeding season and gave me the most GORGEOUS, consistant kids, including Dog Island Passiflora, so I look forward to see what Coconut can do for us.
