Peanut has some very big shoes hooves to fill. Her dam, Butters, is my favorite doe in the herd and I would be happy to have a herd of her little carbon copies. This breeding was an outcross and brings in some really milky genetics from the Redstone Dairy Goat herd out of Utah. Dark Star is a very deep and wide doe that has been on the USDA Elite List for 5 years running. Her progeny appear to be following in her footsteps. Stranger’s littermate sister, SG Redstone Pony Bellatrix 5*M earned a very impressive VEVV 87 as a yearling milker and according to her breeder she’s a very milky doe. This line is proving to produce very consistent milkers that can go the long haul, a trait I prefer over the big spike and then plummet which can quickly ruin an udder.

Peanut is wide throughout with a ton of width between the hocks, a high escutcheon and is well balanced. Nice spring of rib, strong front end and angularity on this girl. Lovely topline with a smoothness of blending and long rump, which I appreciate. Oh, and can she eat! She’s insatiable, which is always a good indication around here that she’s going to have strong production.

She’s a bit of a chonk right now since she’s become a Cookie Monster (she will knock you down if she thinks you have cookies). Hoping she milks some of that off as she has the potential to be a really milky doe.
